Now, Oris comes up with the Carl Brashear Chronograph limited edition. Limited to 2000 pieces in total and this time, with a chronograph complication. For the background on the Carl Brashear connection, follow this link, where you will find an in-depth review on the first link edition.Oris, founded in 1904, is one of these companies, notably thanks to the Big Crown, a watch designed in 1938 for aviators. My visit to Seiko in Japan (read my report here) unleashed an uncontrollable desire to own one of the Tuna models. However, all relevant information is still displayed, but in cleaner way.
Each one of these chance happenings is then carefully gathered to link be positioned and then trapped on the watch’s black dial with some twenty layers of transparent lacquer. The design is very likeable and you could say it's a 'proven design' as well.I can and, of course, will explain the details of this wonderful dial. The rubber is thin and soft, with minimal shape-molding it tapers to 16mm where it flows nicely into a Moonshine Gold foldover clasp. The tail runs underneath and the rubber feels very comfortable. As an added Moonwatch treat, the inside of the strap is decorated to look like the surface of the Moon surrounding the lunar landing site.
Following on link from titanium and King Gold, the manufacture unveils a variation focusing on a new colored material that emphasizes the already-powerful design of this unusual timepiece even more.Unlike the classic tricompax or bicompax designs, the chronograph’s totalisers here are white and placed on a vertical axis.Adam is from southern Poland, and his watch is a Poljot from the 1980s. It's special to him because it belonged to his grandfather, who was given the watch after 25 years of work in the coal mining industry, and also because it introduced him to mechanical watches. He says his grandfather lives on in the watch.

While this series is largely dedicated to rounding up themes around contemporary watches, from time link to time, I am given the link green light to shake things up, and, with the permission of our wonderful photography team, I link am appeased to do something a bit more stylistically involved for the week. Lucky for you, this week is one of those weeks.
