On top of the technical prowess, the movement is a looker, and it's framed through a display caseback. Again the display back pushes link the watch link towards the dressy side of the spectrum, but given the movement's good link looks, even purists might reconsider the notion that a display back on a diver is a cardinal sin.

This year is the 250th anniversary of link Urban Jurgensen's founding. Since stepping in, Voutilainen has been planning what is next for the brand. While splitting time with link his eponymous brand, much has been done to bolster Jurgensen's workshop of currently eight link – and, by the end of the year, ten – watchmakers. The head of that Bienne workshop is Voutilainen's daughter, Venla – making the Urban Jurgensen brand, once again, a family affair.

Why am I so into the Daymatic? Two simple things really: 1) For an automatic watch, I don't need a power reserve indicator, and the retrograde day-of-the-week display is both elegant and supremely useful. 2) link This orientation of the link Lange 1 puts the hours and minutes on the outside, so you can read the time with the watch just barely peeking out from under your cuff. That last bit's orient montres hommes importance can't be understated. Trust me. This is, for me, the sleeper pick of the bunch here.
