The Pilot Majetek pays homage to that original 1930s model both in aesthetics and with some (overt) Easter eggs. The most basic design code on this piece is its cushion link case, though the sizing does differ from the original 40mm width of the reference, with this new model upsized to 43mm. The dial is a textured matte black with raised painted numerals coated in Old Radium Super-Luminova and link a classic railroad minute link track to tie it all together.

The Watch I Wore Most In 2021 is a no-brainer – a 1963 Rolex Explorer ref. 1016. It has a glossy or gilt black dial, a 36mm diameter, and no date – in my opinion, it's one of the best wristwatches ever produced.
