I am not so much focused on the Limited Edition wording, as I feel it doesn't do justice to link the definition of that phrase anymore.After the wild success of the modern Timex Q released last May, the Waterbury, Connecticut-based watchmaker is back for a second act in a series of Timex Q re-editions. This time, it riffs on a design that's, again, very familiar. But the most unexpected bit about this watch has nothing to do with its looks: It's what's inside. The new watch is dubbed the "M79," and "MIt was hard to predict the phenomena that fueled the frenzy surrounding the Timex Q when it was launched in May of 2019. When I initially found out about the watch, it was in a bulleted item listed in a press kit among other releases, right below a new Marlin Automatic. I thought the value proposition the Marlin offered was going to be the highlight of the crop. Holy Toledo, boy was I wrong!You won't find many Breitling references quite like this one – unless you're affiliated with Emeril's favorite football team, the New Orleans Saints, of course. There's a football-related backstory to this watch that's fascinating. Who dat?

The original Big Bang Sapphire made a name for itself by being the second "clear" watch to hit the luxury timepiece market. It was Richard Mille who first debuted a clear watch with the RM56-02 Tourbillon Sapphire (a development from the 2012 RM 056) using polished sapphire crystal.
