We'll let Edmond explain the particularities of this 3428 but I would say if you aren't familiar with the reference 2526, maybe read our story on that first. Once you've done that you will have an even greater appreciation for the 3428 that Edmond discusses here. One thing that does immediately strike you when holding the Royal Oak RD#2 is that despite the thinness of the movement, this is a very heavy watch. The 41mm case, the bezel, and the substantial links of the integrated bracelet are all 950 platinum. I didn't have a pocket scale, and AP hasn't spoken on the link watch's weight, but in the hand the watch feels downright heavy.Reardon pointed to 2013 as an inflection point, when auction results started to shoot well past the 5711's retail price. He also noticed the different type of buyer the watch attracted. This is also around when the idea of a "waitlist" for the Nautilus became more common. If you walked into a Patek Philippe boutique, you couldn't walk out with a Nautilus. You'd have to wait a few months. Then it was a few years. By 2019, reports of 8- to 10-year waitlists were the norm.
55 km link and the abbreviation "rotat" indicate the journey made by a person located on the equator. The film follows the clockmaker, played by Philippe Noiret, as his staid and ordered life in Lyon is shattered only hours after we meet him in the restaurant when his son is charged with murder and arson – he’s killed a man and set his car on fire. The boy is on the lam with his girlfriend in tow; Noiret’s work van has been found abandoned. It’s classic “lovers-on-the-run” with a twist: We don’t care about the lovers. We care about their parents. The Grand et Petite Sonnerie is the world's very first Grande et Petite Sonnerie wristwatch. Dufour started doing some research and realized it had never been tackled before. For any collector, it's probably a crown jewel. He managed to miniaturize this very complex mechanism in a wristwatch format. Dufour made eight: five with enamel dials and three with sapphire, and the one we have is the very first one he did in yellow gold, and the only one he did in yellow gold with an enamel dial.
Knowing the time without looking at the watch face, that is the offering from link timekeepers equipped with the minute repeater complication such as this new magnified reference by Patek Philippe. But the first "tool" watches that went on expeditions with explorers to the tops of mountains and the North and South Poles all had a smaller case diameter in the mid-30s.This year, the manufacture proposes a re-edition to collectors which reproduces the style of this, now a watchmaking icon, model down to the very finest detail. It’s alwaysThe outside of the bezel has a highly grippy serration, applied in a familiar design for Promaster models.

Yes, link look again, the Roman markers are inverted, effectively counting down from 11 to one on the dial clockwise. So if you look at the renders the watch is reading 10:10, and only the hands link are flipped. The movement itself follows suit as the manual-winding link 230MC has an inverted mechanism and winds – well – backward.
