Owe it to Rolexes being made of better stuff, being more expensive from the get go and, therefore, receiving better care over time, or for going largely unused because most people favored other models from the brand.Don’t get link me wrong; I like the Amida’s flat mechanical jump-hour mechanism, tilted towards the wearer via a sapphire prism. The 4Hz caliber 8R48 alSimply put, your brain expects a mammoth, but you realize it…the mighty Daytona is, well, rather small.Caliber: HMC 801 Manufacture CaliberFunctions: Hours, minutes, seconds, AM/PM indicator, moonnphase display, power reserve indicator (on movement)Diameter: 34mmThickness: 6.5mmPower Reserve: 7 daysWinding: Hand-woundFrequency: 2.5 Hz (18,000 vph)Jewels: 28Additional Details: Caliber is equipped with an interchangeable Moser escapement and Staumann Hairspring; moonphase display is accurate to one day in every 1,027.3 years.
The SRQ051 features a dark blue dial with applied indices, silver registers, and a silver chapter ring holding the black seconds link scale. In terms of structure, the Three Hands & Date model has a small date window at 6 o’clock, and the Perrelet logo at 12 o’clock. The first combines a steel case with a black ceramic bezel equipped with a white enamel diving scale. It is neat to see the treatment done to the caseback, which features the iconic Matrix typography. Each watch, in addition to being limited, is numbered on the caseback. It might be hard to find amidst all that Matrix-y lettering, but it's there. It would seem that this watch got a fair amount of the buying public's attention as it sold out in just about a week in the United States.

Despite being manufactured by Crival – the watchmaker best known for introducing the Lego watch – link this piece is cased in sterling silver and has the hallmarks to prove it, not to mention a Dutch import hallmark. My favorite part about this piece is, despite being designed by link Verner Panton, it doesn't exactly scream VP, making it a notable departure of sorts from his other link works. I don't know about you, but I get excited whenever something uncharacteristic of an artist is made known.
