Many articles exist about link the differences between the chronometer-certified 5512 and non-chronometer 5513.In 2023, at Watches and Wonders Geneva, TAG Heuer proudly presented the new Carrera Chronograph Glassbox.I got to spend a few minutes photographing the new LMM-01s and found all three rather charming. Of the three iterations, I think the La Nationale is my favorite thanks to the balance of the dial and the contrast of the hands, markers, and minute track over the silvery dial.
The original 2016 Globe Night Blue featured an engraved globe made from translucent blue enamel with sprinkles of gold glitter. For 2025, a different Metier d’Art was chosen. Instead of engraving, Laurent Ferrier chose painting and used opaque blue enamel with gold highlights. Incidentally, the gold represents bright city lights as seen from space.Wear on a plated case is always a concern, but with a rose gold finish, it's very similar in tone to the base metal underneathThe tail of the seconds hand on the REC RJM Bluebird is inspired by the propeller blades of link the MK IX.The 214270 was updated in 2016 with what's become known as the 214270 Mk. 2. It featured two notable changes from the Mk.1: The hands were enlarged and the applied numerals filled with luminous Chromalight. This was the watch we knew as the Explorer for the past five years. As each year rolled by, there were whispers about ways Rolex could potentially update it again.
Its watches, despite reaching daily tolerance levels of -/+2 seconds per Some of you already knew what was coming, due to the leaks that Omega encountered in the period just before BaselWorld. The medium vs. large debate is, in most cases, a personal one. That's true here to an extent, but the lack of a link date on the medium model makes it a better design in my opinion. Also, the proportions of the Santos work much better in a smaller size. The large actually looks like a blown up version of the smaller watch rather than something that was meant to be that size from the beginning. It's not bad by any means, but I'll take the medium all day over the large. When it comes to watchmaking, titanium comes in two forms: Grade 2 and Grade 5. Grade 2 is all titanium. Grade 5 is an alloy that also includes aluminum and vanadium (6% aluminum and 4% vanadium, which is why it's also referred to as Ti 6Al-4V). Grade 5 is harder; expect to see Grade 5 in higher-end manufacturing, while lower-priced options might use Grade 2. As just one example, the Deepsea Challenge uses Grade 5, while the Tudor Pelagos 39 uses Grade 2 ($26,000 v. $4,400, as a reminder).

While the watch chimes, the switching action of the numerals link discs is delayed. If a new minute begins while the repeater is striking, the minute and/or hour link jump happens only when the sequence has ended, and the next numeral disc switching cycle link takes place with the regular timing when the seconds hand passes the 60-second mark. Which kind of feels like magic.
