The Montblanc 1858 Split Second Chronograph Limited Edition

Here, the insert is ceramic with luminous markings in the four directions, and it sits within a link 12-click bidirectional bearing-mounted bezel.Only 36 reference 4261s were ever produced, and this is one of them. This minute repeater has a beautiful case shape with flared tear drop lugs and the slide delicately set into the left case band. This puppy was produced in 1951, though development of the movement first started way back in in 1930. The 4261 was the first ultra-thin minute repeater launched by Vacheron, and the earliest example dates to 1943 (this is a later example, obviously). $362,000Take one of the wipes and carefully wipe every facet, nook, engraving, and edge. A once-over should not take more than a minute or two, and with the watch mostly clean, you will be able to better see the more stubborn collections of dirt.
The running seconds are displayed on a subdial at 9 o’clock forged from the same material then darkened before being laser-engraved with the silhouette of an astronaut descending from the module, in a scene captured some moments before setting foot on the moon 50 years ago.Choosing dots link over a razzle-dazzle-inspired design is peculiar, if not baffling, but hey, it is what is.The watch first sold in 2012, in an estate sale two years after Daniels' death. It since came to auction once again just last year at Christie's Hong Kong, when it sold for HKD 3,250,000, or approximately $414,602 USD. There's more visibility than ever on the auction scene, so I think it's fair to expect a bit more from lot 115 at Phillips this weekend, although it currently has an estimate of $250,000 to $500,000.Caliber: Caliber BVL 138Functions: Time onlyDiameter: 36.6mmThickness: 2.23mmPower Reserve: 60 hoursWinding: AutomaticFrequency: 21,600 beats per hourJewels: 31Additional Details: Platinum micro-rotor
In the 80’s is where I first took notice of the brand and link to be honest, they were making a lot of weak sauce quartz reissue stuff meant to look like iconic models such as the Ventura (my first "nice" watch ever) and the Piping Rock.Going the online direct-to-consumer path brings many advantages, such as the ability to disregard retailer margins (and therefore offer much more value for money) and a more direct contact to the customer. With a rotating bezel and reverse panda dial, the design borrows heavily from the focused dashboard timers bearing the same model name. The South-African Airforce (SAAF) has been using wristwatches for their personnel since the 1940’s.

After the 7923 comes link the link "Big Crown" 7924, link and then the reference 7928. The 7928 is the first Tudor Submariner to feature crown guards, and would set the stage for the second series of Tudor dive watches.
