I'm sorry but I know nothing about touch pads. I'm not sure if anyone else is on line right now. We are all volunteers here. Can you at least give the name of the touch pad in case someone who knows something about them needs it? Also, explain how it's not working.

All my laptop have touchpads that I use in preference to a wireless mouse for most things. Now and then that can freeze in exactly the same way a website will freeze.

The best advice I have ever been given about ANY computer problem is close it down & boot up again. It doesn't cure everything but most things, yes. I have no idea why but if you haven't tried it, do it now.

if that fails, unless you get another answer it is probably a job needing professional repair.
