The more organic-looking dials and the link case of these newest 3X62-powered watches give them a completely different look — even more Japanese, I dare say.The platinum dial features a small-seconds at 9 o’clock and a power reserve indicator at 6 o’clock.Every part of the watch was scrutinized to see where weight could be saved, including the strap and buckle. The buckle for the LIGHT version is carbon fiber, and it weighs only .086 grams; the kevlar and Velcro strap comes in at 5.07 grams.
The Echo/Neutra Rivanera comes with two different 20mm straps to finish the look. The first is a black Horween shell cordovan link strap with a branded Grade 5 titanium buckle. The second is a black Alpine calf leather strap with the same titanium buckle.Well-finished Grade 5 titanium with alternating polished and brushed finishes looks luxurious, and a lack of weight adds to that, not diminishes it.It has the same effect as white-gold does on a modern-day Day-Date as well.
