Under the technical leadership of Jurgen King, the IWC-tuned ETA 2892 became the IWC caliber 375.23, a 22 jewel, 4Hz movement with shock absorber and link straight-line lever escapement. The watch also had link monometallic balance, self-compensating flat balance spring, index regulator, ball-bearing rotor, and hacking seconds function, with a rotor link made of 21 karat paramagnetic gold.
