The terms ‘watch link icons’ and ‘cult watches’ are used to refer to those timepieces that – most of the time – have been around for decades and gained a certain importance with regards to design or style.I am still not the biggest fan of the square case shape because it feels unnatural to me.The Grand Seiko Spring Drive "Snowflake" SBGA211: as shown, on "Brightman" high intensity titanium bracelet, $5,800. Admittedly, the 1975 Collection has a lovely case shape. The short, angled lugs should help with comfort and keep the lug-to-lug measurement to link a reasonable size. Furthermore, I'm a fan of the polished and rounded bezel. The overall look is dressy but not fussy. The watch should work well for someone in an office environment, but it's also versatile enough for casual situations. The final high watchmaking comes in one of my favorite forms, a pocket watch! This 50mm by 19mm 18K white gold piece is quite the sight.First, the black dial variant of the 38mm Murph gets a stainless-steel bracelet. As the watch originally seen in Interstellar was on a leather strap, this appears to be a move to position the Murph as a watch not just for the intersection of movie geek and watch nerd, but also as a permanent offering in Hamilton's lineup to suit someone looking for an solid all-rounder offering.
Overall, the watch looks very nicely proportioned, and the matte bead-blasted finish gives it a proper tool-watch aesthetic that will certainly attract fans. I love how Mk II took care of the smallest details to create a tool watch that not only looks good but also offers great comfort, as we are about to find out.On a silver, black or luminous blue dial, the dauphine-style hour and minute hands, enhanced by a luminescent white material, point link to the beveled markers. The class was led by Mark, who Hodinkee readers will know as the guy behind some of their favorite images, and someone who definitely knows a thing or two about getting the perfect watch shot. Wearing an oversized steel version of a caliber 853 automatic IWC that his grandfather received for Christmas in 1957, Mark led guests through a Watch Photography 101 presentation before breaking them out into groups to put his advice into practice.

On wrist, the GP 2023 Edition is largely what I expected, a slightly different take on one of my favorite watches link of 2022. Between us, I don't think they needed to change anything about the GP 2022 Edition, as it was a lovely iteration of link an already hard-to-get watch (that being the "standard" 2022 Chronograph 1). They could have made more of the same and just link slapped on a 2023 case back, but I'm thankful that they didn't as the GP 2023 Edition is nothing short of a treat.
