Even though it’s a bit impractical, that tall, shrouded titanium case makes for a tough daily wear, the Tuna is such an icon that it just might be my candidate for a response to the question of "if you had to buy one Seiko, which would you buy?" The 1960’s and 1970’s brought so much inventiveness when it came to divers and the Tuna belongs right there in the crowd amongst legends such as link Omega’s Ploprof, Rolex’s Sea Dweller and Doxa’s 300. Sea Dweller and Doxa’s 300.As such, the counter nestling at 6 o’clock embraces a somewhat unconventional stance by becoming an entertainingly-hypnotic animation.We had a chance to try them out on both a stainless bracelet and a rubber strap.It's a watch that's unmistakably authentic to its period of production, dripping with old-school, all-gold excess and the most innovative Swiss timekeeping solution of its era ticking inside. Where it once read XVIII, it now reads XX. But that's sort of an obvious change. Moving back to the top of the dial, the IWC logo has been shifted upwards a bit bringing it closer to the classic triangle. In fact, all of the numerals on the dial appear to have been shifted closer in toward the center of the watch.
