This watch has a 42mm stainless steel case with a link 47.4mm lug-to-lug and 12.7mm thickness. The dimensions make for a relatively slim chronograph compared to many of its peers.Mimo's thin buckleIf I may stop for another minute at the strap, I would pinpoint the buckle. I'm not sure if it is even one millimeter thick. It looks so flat that it's as if someone took a giant hammer and smashed it until it became a pancake. The design is perfect, as are the manipulation and wearability.Developed in Korea, the Dot is an extremely new product (most of the company's website is still "coming soon" pages) that offers a new take on telling the time and giving notifications to the visually impaired. Notably, because it uses braille and not just indicators to mimic hands, the Dot can offer true rich notifications, not just numbers for the time.
The Speedmaster is history on the wrist, whether you buy a brand new link model or a vintage one.I've got to say, I really dig these watches. The little aesthetic cues definitely nod to some of the best mid-century sports watches, but without going overboard and outright copying elements here and there. Some people might lament the lack of an all-steel version, but I actually think the two-tone case sets this watch apart in a sea of sameness and adds a lot of character. Without it, I don't think the overall impression would be nearly as interesting.Collectors are now considering watches from the '80s and '90s as "vintage," and the V2-92 is branded as a vintage-inspired timepiece. The design of the watch, much like that of the A-10 Warthog that shined during the Desert Shield conflict in 1990, works just as well in 2019.I genuinely enjoy Hublot watches; I'm not a hater. I couldn't keep my eyes off the Big Bang Unico "Yellow Magic" released last year. And I think the pieces that have resulted from Hublot's continued collaboration with Richard Orlinski are consistently some of the most aesthetically interesting watches available today.
