The new dials provide the second-generation Formex Field with a more upmarket feel. I wouldn’t go so far as to say it is GADA since the case is very brutalist, but the dial execution lifts the watch out of pure tool-watch territory. It does so without compromising legibility, so it's all good with me! And, at US$870, this watch leaves very little to be desired. Kudos once more, Formex!Not all brands want to fulfil this ‘new’ demand for bi-color though, where Breitling was always strong in bi-color watches and (for now) seems to stay strong, a brand like link IWC has nothing in two-tone.Robert-Jan and I loved seeing the new platinum version with the simplified dial.I'll admit, my view is skewed because of a personal connection to the watch. But even without that, I can't say that I remember seeing the SKX007 or the Explorer on billboards growing up. This is the one watch of the three that you might see "in the wild" most often, and it's probably worn by plenty of folks who were inspired by the positioning it saw during the '90s. I'm certainly one of them.
