United Credit Recovery Bureau debt collection harassment — what can I do?

Has anyone here had run-ins with United Credit Recovery Bureau? For the past few weeks they have been blowing up my phone about a debt they say I owe. The calls come multiple times a day, and sometimes the person on the other end is downright rude. They make threats about taking me to court and ruining my credit, but when I ask for real proof of the debt, they avoid giving me a straight answer.

I’ve read a little online about debt collection harassment and how these agencies sometimes cross the line. It’s stressful because I’m not even sure this debt is valid. I’ve sent a request for validation but they keep calling anyway.

If anyone else has dealt with United Credit Recovery Bureau debt collection harassment, how did you handle it? Did you get them to stop or at least provide proper documentation? I just want to know what steps actually work in situations like this.
