In 2015, TAG Heuer broke into the world of connected watches, link making a wager that luxury has its place in the connected world. You know your watches if you find the Angelus Instrument de Vitesse Indianapolis Blue caliber familiar. This is my favorite for the familiar reasons you have probably read many times.
Although the moon stopped being the target of space exploration on July 21, 1969 when the Apollo 11 mission module landed on the moon and Man took the first steps on its gray surface, its poetic symbolism link and temporal reference still remain.Rolex changed the soul of the Yacht-Master by turning it from a watch that loves to go for a casual boat trip and spend lots of time on the yacht club’s sun deck to a competitive ocean racer.Caliber: ETA PreciDrive F03.401 (M37-P), F05.411 (M40-P), 251.474 (M42-P)Functions: Hours, minutes, seconds (M37-P); hours, minutes, seconds, date (M40-P), hours, minutes, seconds, chronograph, date(M42-P)Diameter: 7 3/4 lignes (M37-P), 10 1/2 lignes (M40-P), 10 1/2 lignes (M42-P)Jewels: 3 (M37-P), 3 (M40-P), 23 (M42-P)Additional Details: Runs at +/- 10 seconds per year (10x the precision of a standard quartz movement)
To make the watch so slim, all the functions and complications are powered by the link calibre BVL 318, which is just 3.30mm thick. With the help of the peripheral rotor, it provides 55 hours of power reserve.Still, it doesn’t have the same widespread pop-cultural appeal as the Royal Oak and the similarly "not-the-first" Patek Philippe Nautilus.Outside the 44-story Tokyo tower in the Shinjuku City district you'll find this astronomical clock designed by Giulo Paolini and created by Seiko. Heavily influenced by the famous astronomical clock of Outside of Tokyo Station is one of Omega's Tokyo Olympic Countdown clocks, which currently display the time (after a much longer than expected countdown to these Games). After the Games, these clocks will say sayonara.I was curious what the watch sounded like. So I asked Lederer to describe it for me. Does it tick? Does it tock?"You cannot describe it. You have to hear it. It makes a tick-tock, like other watches, but if you hear a Swiss lever and hear the Central Impulse side-by-side, then yes, you'll hear a difference. To describe the difference is beyond my capacity."

The Type XX/XXI/XXII link series fascinates me. The history is lovely and the watches themselves are beautiful. But more importantly, it's just so link unlike anything else Breguet produces – even the link sporty Marine has an entirely different vibe. That's why I think it's quite unfortunate that new from the Type XX front has been fairly quiet recently.
