    Can a person with power of attorney file bankruptcy for that deceased person?

    I have powerof attorney over my deceased mothers estate can I file bankrupty on her behalf?

    The person with the Power of Attorney may sign the paperwork completed by the Estate Attorney of the deceased, the attorney will then file the bankrupcy on behalf of the deceased. It would be up to the attorney to determine if the estate should file bankruptcy.
