The Black Bay Fifty-Eight 925 is available on one of two straps – leather or fabric with link a silver buckle – and is priced at $4,300. This means you're paying a $925 premium for the silver case and display back link over a standard steel BB58 on strap or bracelet (and a $600 premium over one of those on a bracelet). On the other hand, that new gold BB58 will set you back a cool $16,800, making this silver model link look like a serious bargain by comparison.

Sometimes a link great release link isn't a gut punch of excitement. Sometimes it's the slow burn that proves that a watch is going to be great not just now but for the long haul. I frankly didn't think much of the Tudor Black Bay "Monochrome" when it came out at Watches amp Wonders. In a 41mm by 13.5mm case and all-black dial and bezel combo there's not link much remarkable about the watch on paper. But that's the point. And to truly understand it you need to look a bit closer.
