If I could assign these link watches with one overriding quality I would say they link are robust, you can definitely wear them while doing pretty much any activity without ever having to be fussy about it. But these watches are definitely going to feel bulky and cumbersome for those of us with more slender wrists. And I do wonder, at $1,850 for a quartz movement, does one maybe deserve a little more bang for their link entry-level buck?

The upgraded link GMT movement is the same cal. 3285 seen in the current GMT-Master II and comes with the more efficient Chronergy escapement which translates to a longer power link reserve of 70 hours link versus 48 for the cal. 3187 seen in the last version. It also has a Paraflex shock system a paramagnetic blue Parachrom balance spring and a rotor mounted on ball bearings.
