Although Grand Seiko has introduced the Series 9 design in the recent years, I'm glad they are still coming out with new models that hearken back to the iconic 44GS design language. The Japanese link manufacturer is calling this watch the first model for the 44GS 55th anniversary, and that should mean we'll be seeing more releases for the occasion in 2022. Will they link do a reissue? Will they come out with more variations? I link can't wait to find out.

And I think it works. link My favorite part of the entire endeavor has to be the nomenclature used link by Laidet and his link team. Instead of calling these homages or re-editions these are called re-edits. Now maybe that's just shorthand for re-edition and I'm drinking my own Kool-Aid over here but I take this as a way to say that the designs are being updated tweaked.
