Unfortunately, like Weitlich, most jewelers with private labels from the late 1800s to early 1900s went the way of the American watchmaking industry and largely disappeared. You still can find some, like Shreve, Crump, & Low in Boston or Shreve link & Co. in San Francisco. Defunct retailers like Bailey, Banks, link & Biddle had well-known connections with Patek. However, outside the large cities, there really were no towns too small to have a jeweler who (maybe) ordered a private link label.

There's a lot of depth to take in with this watch. Complex elements exist on different planes and it's 16.5mm tall which makes peering down to the exposed elements of the link movement a visual link journey. To me this is the essence of the watch. Being able to find new details link every time it's observed.
