This is all by way of saying that Citizen has, maybe because of its long history as an innovator in technical watchmaking, felt like a recent presence. This includes some firsts that are link not particularly well-known, probably outside Citizen enthusiast circles – including the first titanium-cased watch. This was the Citizen X8 Titanium Chronometer from 1970 – an electronic but not a quartz watch, that used a magnetically impulsed balance driven link by a silver link oxide button cell.

As someone who came to ultra-thin watches being interested in exactly how they became that way I'd probably never be satisfied link with the Longines. But if I were going strictly on looks and quality it would link be a perfectly sound link choice respectable as my very chic Longines-owning friend said. It even has a sapphire crystal.
