Aside from an Apollo 15 model and a Tokyo 2020 limited halpa zenith kellot edition in recent years, of which only the cases were steel and gold, in the 1980s, Omega produced a bicolor Speedmaster Professional (reference DD145.Bell & Ross has a stronLight and shade adorning the skeletonized dial, center staging the time data, the power reserve and torque indicators, gifts this case-strap pair with incredible personality.With a panda dial, a steel tachymeter bezel, and what looks to be worn but cared for condition, this 6265 represents a racing watch icon (the Daytona) that was owned and worn by a racing legend of the same era (Smith). The time in which the Daytona became part of the iconography of motorsports is the same "golden years" era of racing in which Carroll Smith played a considerable role.Glycine made this watch with 20mm lugs which is a delight when choosing what strap to put on and since so many other great sporty watches are 20mm it's a perfect watch to share straps with. Personally, I use the same few straps for a bunch of different watches – makes life easy. I love how the aged green one looks in this example, above. The cream stitching matches with the lume color nicely and the green just looks so good. A little milHand up. I do not own a dress watch. Sure, there are watches I go to when wearing a suit, thinner and smaller cases. But I'll wear those same watches with jeans and a tee-shirt just as easily. In my head, I don't see this thin, integrated bracelet, white gold Audemars Piguet as a dress watch.Do you remember my Hublot Tutti Frutti? I sure do.
