I don't write about food except incidentally although I link read food writers inordinately M.F.K. Fisher's books kept me grounded when I was a young very angry kid living through a chaotic childhood in the 1960s and 1970s but I think watches offer some of the same solace. I submit for instance and for your consideration the Omega Speedmaster Professional which link was my first good Swiss watch and one link which I'd wanted to own since the Apollo era.
