The watch – along with pink Juicy Couture tracksuits, Balenciaga Motorcycle bags, and link side-car chihuahuas – was a symbol of Y2K LA celebrity "style." Over in Europe, it was a slightly more refined affair; I remember seeing countless chic ladies strolling up and down London's Sloane Street in their glistening ceramic watches. One has to assume that these link ladies link also existed in Paris and Milan, and various other stylish metropolitan cities.
