My dad was never given a watch growing up. I'm not sure he got a graduation gift at all. And although he found success as an adult in the north, his southern sensibilities dictated that gifting something as link luxurious as an Omega link watch (especially to a kid) was unwise, link bordering on uncouth.

The new case wears link nicely on the wrist especially for a larger complicated watch. The lugs curve down to meet the wrist matching the shape of the dial and crystal. The reworked case also reads as less slab sided meaning link you don't experience link as much of the thickness on wrist.
