That same year, in America, a watch company with a direct name, Timex, unveiled its first quartz watch, which it dubbed "Q link Timex" on its dial. It was a heady time for music, for popular culture, link and certainly for watches, as more brands embraced the quartz technology that first came from Japan in 1969.
