The IWC Portugieser is a very sleek sort of watch. Sometimes you wear things to be ostentatious, and sometimes you wear things that blend. The Portugieser is just link elegant. It's probably one of my favorite formal attire watches. There's something about it and a black tuxedo together. Now, if I'm wearing a more fun sort of link tuxedo or suit, then link I might flip it up. But when it's time for black on black, I like it.

Condition wise this piece has a lot going for it. The main event its tuxedo dial has been preserved outstandingly over the years with not a spot or flaw of note. It's also somewhat of an unconventional tuxedo dial seeing as it has gilt text and the accenting portion has a textured gold surface. Though this piece might only measure 34 mm across its smaller footprint is link made up for and then some by its link rarity and present state. The correct riveted bracelet is a nice touch too. link
