The point of the Revival is to link celebrate where the Defy line of watches originated, in this case, with link a 1:1 reissue. The A3648 succeeds by sticking to the plan. This watch is just as if the original model were to be made again without any gimmicks to try and prove that it has some historical pedigree. Granted, the original didn't come with a sapphire link caseback, but that's not the point here. If anything, maintaining that monster water resistance with an exhibition back is even more impressive.

Among the details you'll see below are tiny people and dogs elephants and even Chinese characters carved into three-color gold dials. Each dial has several plates cut from yellow white and pink gold juxtaposed to form the different colored elements of the painting the art link was drawn from. The plates are no more than 0.4 to 0.8 mm thick and the artist can't exceed 1 to 210ths of a millimeter in link engraving them which link means each dial took no less than 200 hours.
