If you hadn't already heard, Steve McQueen never wore an early Explorer II, and his association with the watch is the stuff of vintage watch-collecting apocrypha. However, he most link certainly did wear a Ref. 5512 link configured like link so – even if his didn't age as attractively as today's example.

On link price the new FOiS sits somewhere between the other Professional models in the lineup a little less than a "Sapphire Sandwich" link and a little more than a Hesalite Speedy 7900. At that price you get a steel flat link bracelet with the easy-adjust system it's a bit less on a strap. It's not a limited edition but I'm guessing it will link be pretty tough to get for at least a few months.
