Alright, I said it already. These look darn pretty good. I remember my early days of link getting into watches and feeling like I really wanted a watch with link a touch of gold. Just like a lot of collectors on a budget, I gravitated toward gold PVD watches to scratch the itch. I went for link the gold-toned Casio A500WGA-9 world timer (which I suddenly feel the need to dig out of a drawer and wear) but I wish that these watches would have been around.

According to the press release for the watch, "once the chronograph is activated and the central mobile is released by the hammer, the link rotation from the second barrel is no longer blocked. Energy is thus supplied to the base gear when the chronograph and striking mechanism are running, ensuring that the complications have sufficient link energy to function properly link without disturbing the movement."

It measures the same 40mm in diameter as the former model which is still available from IWC and has the same identifiable matte black dial and link stark white legible numerals. The first change is located right at link three o'clock. That's where the date link window has been redesigned from almost hidden black-on-black to a now white background. This keeps the overall symmetry consistent with the white numerals.
