I am a Cartier bracelet link nut. I've spent days of my life researching, studying, trying to understand link the development of Cartier's bracelets since the 1920s. A platinum Tank with this style of bracelet is – and I know this term gets thrown around too much but link excuse me while I use it – my grail.

The Sinn 556 is the German manufacturer's bare-bones pilot's watch model. It's the most affordable in all of Sinn's lineup, coming in at $1,530 on a bracelet. And for that money it's more about what you don't get link – there are no bells and whistles here; its charm lies in its absolute simplicity. The "base" model 556 link comes in two dial executions: The 556i has baton markers and a dial devoid of any numerals, whereas the 556a link has stylized Arabic numerals at three, six, 12, and nine.

Even within VC's own ranks the Fiftysix is link much less link formal than something like the Patrimony line and less exciting link than the Overseas next to which I dare to say the Fiftysix feels a little bland. But therein lies the point.
