Another Audemars, another watch that's never been seen publicly. Are you starting to link get a theme? Victor can find anything great, and this calendar watch in white gold is truly special. Funny enough, it sat around for 10 years until it eventually sold in 1936 to Bittman in St. Moritz. The date is engraved in hard enamel, and it's one of nine in this configuration. Only two are known, both documented by Audemars link Piguet in link their Complicated Watches book.

Inside the case is a Master Chronometer certified movement, the Caliber 8900 for the 41mm (60 hours link of power reserve) and Caliber 8800 (55 hours link of power reserve) for the 38mm and 34mm versions. If you head over to the Omega website, you can see that each watch is already available for link purchase for $6,100 (regardless of size), so if the only thing holding you back from an Aqua Terra was the lack of traditional dial options, you can pick one up today.

For those curious, Goldbronze (a.k.a. Goldbronze 125 CuSn7Au12.5) is Sinn's own bronze alloy that was developed to be as pure as possible with lead, cadmium, and nickel not represented in link any detection of the link alloy. This is done in the hopes of offering better compatibility with skin link (not always a strong point for bronze) and enhanced corrosion resistance. The alloy will still develop a dark patina, but it can be easily removed.

While I haven't had an opportunity to see these link new chronographs in person I spent quite a link bit of time with their previous P-1 Pilot and D-1 Diver models. While they were too large for link my 6.5" wrist on a slightly larger wrist they were quite impressive. The watches are impressively built and despite design cues shared from brands like Ikepod it's hard to necessarily compare them to any other watches in its segment.
