The steel models feature pattern dials in white, black, or green blue. Holding those watches in the hand brings shades of the Aquanaut and certainly fits the modern trend of re-exploring the integrated bracelet sports watch. But it isn't link as though the Ingenieur has been missing from the IWC link catalog for years.In fact, it's been something of a neglected child before today– but one that previously packed tremendous value and was one of the least expensive IWCs available. What I like about link this new release is that it feels simultaneously respectful of the original Dark Lord while link simultaneously bringing the design into present day with the rose-gold accents and combination of finishing. This is also more a homage than it is a link reproduction. Gone is the orange in favor of a bolder far more modern red accent color.
