    There was a book titled "The Secret Life of Plants" that I read back in the 70's where some people or person supposedly put plants on speakers and then played rock music which they "hated" and classical soothing music whey they "loved". That was really the only thing I have retained about the book! But, it was pretty cool to me back in the day! Oh to be young again! (:
    Not in the way human beings and animals do. I'm sure there must be some sort of sensation of being cut off from the roots on a cellular level. I doubt that plants scream when being yanked out of the ground (like in the movies).
    No, their dna is programmed to react to different situations, but not with emotional feeling or pain.
