Still pics??? Sounds like the the player, its not scanning-- Memory buffer, I could come up with many different scenarios for that, does it just do this on one DVD or are you talking about a DVD at all? You're not sure, it could also be you have a freeze frame engaged and you haven't turned it off. Shut down the entire system..., everything and turn it back on.. Check with other DVD's change channels on your TV.. Hard to answer if the only information you give is MOVIE,SOUND and STILL'

If your tv is the problem you need a new one. If you are trying to play a rental movie, take it back to the video store and complain.
