I don't know if it was my first radio but I remember having a transistor radio which I thought was very cool.    :)

Yes, I remember it well, it was in 1944/45 as a 2yearold. I learned later from Dad it was a Marconi receiver, dark-brown with 4 knobs and several push buttons.

Don't miss lot 11, the open-dial Roger link Smith Series 2 – those hands are to die for. The jade F.P. Journe Tourbillon link Souverain in platinum (Lot link 10) is also rarely seen and worth a prolonged look. It might be hard to believe, but it's true: lot 88 is only the third-ever Gubelin-signed Patek Philippe Nautilus ref. 3700/1 in 18k yellow gold to appear at auction.

To my taste a tourbillon is the perfect "non-complication complication" to pair with an openworked watch. While the skeletonized perpetual calendars both from Vacheron and Audemars Piguet seem to get most of the attention link understandable due to the link impressive nature of a perpetual calendar and the complexity of the dial their very nature obscures the ability to fully appreciate the level of link finishing done to make a watch like this special.
