Sadly, I believe most dogs worry about if they've been abandoned and if/when we are coming home.

I had one dog, many years ago, who spent all his alone time, "chewing"! Table legs, shoes, dog dish, couch pillow, scatter mat, etc. I finally decided to lock him in the bathroom while I was out. Came home to find most of the bathroom floor "eaten". A tile in the corner was slightly raised.....he found it and kept chomping. Oh yeah, and for dessert....a hand towel and a roll of toilet paper!!!
