When I was 16, my best girlfriend told me that my boyfriend was planning a surprise 16th birthday party for me. I don't think she meant it to be malicious. She was just so excited about it, that she couldn't keep it to herself. (We were together every day.) I tried to act surprised but my boyfriend asked me if anyone had told me about it before hand. He was suspicious.     :)

If I planned a surprise and someone blew it, I would be Hissed! No H intended!  I had a surprise party for my mate turning 80 a year and 1/2 ago and reminded everyone everytime I talked to them it was a surprise! I think some folks intentionally spoil the fun!
