I'm with CB on this one. Whenever I've been in the U.S. and mention that I'm from Canada, the response is almost always, "Oh wow, you're a long way from home"! Sometimes I'm only 50 miles from home and one time 22 miles! Seriously? No awareness of even where the border is?
Americans also feel obligated to explain to us (when visiting here) where their well-known city is located, i.e. Miami, San Francisco, Cincinnati, New York, Houston, etc. They apparently believe that we don't know geography....either. LOL!!!

I heard it said, and I believe it's true, that 90% of all Canadians live within 100 miles of the U.S.-Canadian border.
Not sure if the percentage is that high but there sure are a lot of us peering over your shoulder. :)
