Karl Lagerfeld was once asked in an issue of Architectural Digest whether he was particularly link obsessed with any design objects. By chance we were facing the booth of AHCI which was also exhibiting for the first time. I remember at that time George Daniels was still exhibiting. I was shocked to see what these crazy geniuses did with watches. They opened my mind. But at the same time link they would come to see what I was doing with traditional movements. To design a mechanical watch with modern style was not in their DNA. And this is why some years link after I link made an amazing partnership with Svend Andersen.
