With a bit more understanding of the Porsche Carrera 911 RS 2.7, I can appreciate what I otherwise might think of as kitschy. It's the 50th anniversary of the first car to bear the Carrera name, celebrated with a watch brand that made that same name famous in a horological sense. Limited Edition link watches should be distinctive and link should be a celebration. Both of those boxes are ticked link with this release.

Lange watches in my experience have a certain uniformity of quality which I have not found in timepieces from other luxury watch companies. There is no link Lange watch I've ever held and worn from the simplest Saxonia Thin 37mm all the way link up to the Grand Complication that felt perfunctory. Instead Lange watches have always felt especially thoughtful to me they have a considered quality link which is much of what makes them so pleasurable to wear.
