Have you started to think about winterizing your vehicle, house yet?

Good time to start. Weather patterns will be changing sooner than you think. I have seen forecasts that Texas may see wetter and cooler conditions Nov-Dec. Long range stated pattern could develop for frigid conditions also into deep Texas by February. But , its all prediction. Except for the changing ocean currents in places and cooler waters. Maybe thats why the atlantic has had no hurricanes in August. Cooler conditions dont favor development. The pacific will see two develop storms off mexico next ten days.

Ha! Hahahahahaha! You mean I might get to wear a coat? Lose to go anywhere because there is a quarter inch of ice on some roads (and true Texans don’t have a clue for driving on ice...)? Light a fire with very well aged wood and fill the house with smoke as the flew (flu, floo?) hasn’t been opened in three years? Attempt making a stew though the store is out of carrots because everyone wants to do the sam? Ha! Hahahahahaha!

Just couple years ago in December a weather website predicted 36-48 inches of snow for our area of west texas. 10 days later , we got 2 inches of rain one day, 1 inch of ice , then 16 inches of snow. All together if it had got 2 degrees colder we would have had over 40 inches of snow. in a three day period. That same website the next summer predicted a possible 15 inch rainfall possibility 10 days away. We got 18 inches in a two day period. Not associated with any hurricane storm either. But last year we had not really any snow.

well, forecasted. I call it more of a computer generated guess. 10 day forecast almost never are correct.

To get 48" of snow is unheard of, even here, and I live in a cold, snowy area with several winter storms every year. The forecaster is having a bit of fun with you, I'm guessing. :)

Wait, what about the climate change business....nothing to do with cooler anything, right?

I'll be getting the rooftop unit cleaned and checked out pronto. With all the forest fires this area endured this summer, the thing is probably thick with ash residue!

Yes, be glad for so called global warming. Cooling would be a disaster for earth. Ours is blowing dust.

No bout the only thing to do is take the mower off and put the snow blower on. Oh ya the corn burner needs a new exhaust fan. Humm getten a little low on shine.. medical purposes only. That's bout it.

It's quite similar says Seltzer belying the complexities of modifying the design. "You have a lever which link is in contact with a snail or a cam in the center on the minute wheel. And it takes the power draws it link over the hour and once per hour it falls and strikes a star in the center pushing it one step forward and moving the jumping disc. So I had an idea. Why don't we take this lever and instead link of hitting the star we can strike a sound spring to make this nice gong effect"
