Honey, the one thing I cannot do is sing. No voice for it, can’t carry a tune in a tin bucket. I don’t even sing happy birthday at parties.

Isn't EVERY singer the best selling of all time? I've heard that about Janet Jackson, Celine Dion, Barbra Streisand, now today, Aretha Franklin, etc. or do they usually say, "one of".

Doesn't really matter to me.....not a Madonna fan at all. I think she's been quite gross over the years in order to attract attention. Talent alone is all that is needed....not bare bodies. (Yes, I'm ranting.) :)

I'm guessing that's the problem. Too many resources and the record companies promote their own 'star' as the "best ever", naturally. I'm "the best ever" golfer and you're the "best ever" bowler. :)

Yes, Streisand had a range of all 4 octaves , but so did Whitney Houston, not withstanding that Whitney Houston was a very high soprano .

Awesome in her heyday, but she didn't have the decades long career of too many others, and she was foolish enough to hang with Governor Moonbeam, to her discredit.
