This coming Wednesday morning 20. June: Venue - Marienkrankenhaus, Düsseldorf Kaiserswerth. Occasion - Knee Op. Not exactly ecstatic, trepidation would better describe my state of mind or even terrified.
Hi Terry, the first op on my left knee was in 2008, I twisted it badly whilst carrying a heavy electric motor. In the op in June, there was little left for the surgeon to repair, he could only clean up the loose debris as best he could. When the pain is too much for me to bear I can have an artificial joint, speaking of which, I wish all goes well for you later this month.
Westy,i have an interesting opinion,keeping in mind i do not know if the cartilage in your knee has been damaged,,i had my knee done in 2009,i was only 58,i am now 9 years older and you are a few years older than me.. and recovery will be harder as it is with my hip,with my first hip i was back at work in 7 weeks,i am now retired and into my 9th week from hip replacement,and still working on it..however all doctors will tell you that pain will decide when you get surgery,,All the best Westy,,keep us up to date on how you go mate..>>>>>>><<<<<<<..BTW,proceedings on my left knee begins on 25-9-2018..

Now the other one Quacker,and Thanks...he gave me a choice,hip or knee,take my pick,,i had problems when i had my right knee done,so knee will be done after the hip..however i am a bit concerned as i am going with a different bone cutter..>>>>>>>><<<<<<<<..
Thanks MCM,i am into the 9th week after the hip,i start proceedings for my left knee to be done 21-9-2018,then maybe then i will truly be Bionic,,but truly i really wish i was not..>>>>>>>><<<<<<<<..

My significant other had his 2nd knee replacement on Aug 23. They said he would be in the hosp for 2 days. It's stretching out to be 4 b/c he needs a lot of care and more P T .

Our doctors keep you in there for 5 days for a hip or knee if there is no complications MCM,main problem they are looking for is blood clots,they also put us on blood thinners for a month after surgery,again to combat clots..>>>>>>>><<<<<<<<..
