I’m with Ben on selectio. Steak and Ale was a fancy place to go out to special. I drive by the old site and have wondered. Burger Chef, I was friends with the owner’s daughter in elementary school. We’d hang out there and eat our fill of french fries. The attic was cool. Not too close to home either. It amazes me now what we did for adventure that no kid today would be safe doing. Why I’m not the victim of kidnap just goes to show how times have changed....

    Not a one. I like a chippy....

....Steak and Ale, Howard Johnson and Burger Chef

Here in Michigan, we used to hear that Howard Johnson was owned by the mafia.

Bob's, Bennigan's, Sambo's, Howard Johnson's.....maybe a couple more. Bob's burgers were excellent, and I always liked going to Sambo's. They had the story about the Tigers on the wall.

I hope you mean the Detroit Tigers
    Bob/PKB

No, the story about Sambo and the big cats.

We had a Bonanza. I would have liked to experience eating at the Horn & Hardart
