I’m with Ben on selectio. Steak and Ale was a fancy place to go out to special. I drive by the old site and have wondered. Burger Chef, I was friends with the owner’s daughter in elementary school. We’d hang out there and eat our fill of french fries. The attic was cool. Not too close to home either. It amazes me now what we did for adventure that no kid today would be safe doing. Why I’m not the victim of kidnap just goes to show how times have changed....

Bob's, Bennigan's, Sambo's, Howard Johnson's.....maybe a couple more. Bob's burgers were excellent, and I always liked going to Sambo's. They had the story about the Tigers on the wall. 

We had a Bonanza. I would have liked to experience eating at the Horn & Hardart

Daniel, link who is from Mexico, proudly wears his Mido from the 1950s because it link was a gift from his grandfather. It wasn't exactly in working order when he received it, but he sought out a watchmaker to bring it back to life. Daniel likes imagining what the world was like 70 years ago when it was first manufactured in Switzerland, link and he plans to wear it well past its 100th year.

When the surprises come they are wonderful. Think back to Jay-Z in his Grandmaster link Chime at the Grammys and Jake Gyllenhaal in a Tank Chinoise at last year's Oscars. More of this please! I personally prefer the Met Gala for link a more liberated approach to the accessories game but the Academy Awards are at least for link now still the bigger deal.
