Everyone is different in one way or another.

Embrace your uniqueness. I've been called an irregular person. Maybe, Terry, we are not for this earth.

Not much i can do about it anyway,i spent 3 months seeing a psychologist only to be told i am to old to really change anything,as Aspergers is better to work on if diagnosed at a young age.however it does explain a lot of my younger life..>>>>>>>><<<<<<<<..@Bob,could be you are right Bob, i certainly see this world different to most people..

"Aspergers"? I didn't know this about you. Have you shared that with us before now?
    terryfossil 1

Mighta mentioned it once Quacker, but was not diagnosed then..>>>>>>><<<<<<<<..
    Bob/PKB

Yes, you have mentioned this diagnosis, a variation of autism (isn't it?). A young friend of mine who has Asperger's has just started student teaching, last step before certification.
It's not an easy path, but she watches for rocks and potholes.

Yeah Bob,Asperges is a form of Autism,i have a tick that comes with mine, where i have an involuntary jerky motion and i make a strange noise,,after all these years it still scares my wife if i am near her when it happens,,i can do up to 8 of them in a day,or i may only do 2 in a day,it varies..my main problem is i see and think of things differently, which does not necessarily mean i am wrong..just different>>>>>>>><<<<<<<<..

Your life must be a struggle but getting a diagnosis must have been somewhat of a relief.

As you said Duck, "everyone is different in one way or another".and i am always the round peg in a square hole..so i figured i was normal, well maybe not that normal..the loud noise and jerky motion i make kinda point to different from others..so over 67 years i have found a lot of tricks to try and fit into that square hole..and now i have a diagnoses for my problem and the white coat people wanta tell me how to go about fitting in better,by the end of it i end up wondering who the hell i am and what am i doing living in this world..so if my wife can keep putting up with my weirdness and idiosyncrasies,i think i might just keep pottering along for a bit longer..>>>>>>>><<<<<<<<..

@Bob,your friend must have that part of Aspergers where the brain works very well,i once worked with a bloke who was an Aspie, and he was amazing with numbers..>>>>>>>><<<<<<<<..
    Bob/PKB

Terry, she has trouble relating to people sometimes, in that shallow way people sometimes have of "relating".
    terryfossil 1

Yeah Bob.i think i know what you mean,,i do not have friends for very long,i fall out pretty quick,i am told most aspies are like that, either way my wife reckons i am..>>>>>>>><<<<<<<<..
    Bob/PKB

    No one needs superficial friends.
