Depending on the time of the month I can honestly say I have nothing. If it’s the beginning I will tell them my whole check is there but won’t be lasting. Did they want to know how big (or little) my income is? Go figure. I’d just laugh and tell them it’s never enough....

I can't remember anyone asking me such a question. If I were asked, I'm pretty sure that I would have an appropriate answer.

You need to know that, why? What makes you so curious about my bank? Are you asking for a loan? Just enough for me! Last time I checked, my balance was $4.57. Do you work for (IRS) Canada Revenue? You're about to make a joke, right? Are we going to compare our balances?
