They received a consequence for breaking a school rule. You could classify it as truancy. WHERE they were, NOT IN CLASS, is the issue.

Since the "event" was sponsored by the Women's March Network, it becomes, in my opinion, a left-wing political protest, not a memorial. Students are PAWNS. Deplorable!
